Brewer Series: Boscos

Image
On March 14, the Brewer Series happened at Boscos, the very first location in Memphis to brew beer, which opened on December 26, 1992. Head brewer, Tyler Brown, made a cask beer just for us. He filled the cask with Noir IPA , and "dry hopped" it with liquid Amarillo terpenes, resulting in a very vibrant hop aroma. President Frank was given the honor of tapping the cask by hammering the spout into it. He then proudly raised the hammer (rubber mallet) after successfully tapping the cask. After that, Tyler began pouring from the cask and handing it out to us. While we were all enjoying the cask beer, Tyler gave everyone a tour of the brewing area, in groups of five or so people at a time. After touring was finished, the beer share began. A few highlights included Side Project sours, Fonta Flora barrel-aged stout and barleywine, Tree House IPAs, and a Stone Vertical Epic from 12/12/12. Check out the video and more photos below.
