Brewer Series: Wiseacre
The Brewer Series at Wiseacre Downtown on July 26 was an absolute hit! We were thrilled to see so many familiar and new faces come together for a Saturday full of great beer and even better company.
One of the highlights of our beer share was a vertical of Astronaut Status, courtesy of Robert Mickelberry, which included 2015 through 2024!
A huge thanks goes to the Bartosch brothers for giving our group a personal tour. We all walked away with some fascinating insights into the state-of-the-art facility, plus the history of Wiseacre Brewing and how it all got started.
Fun fact: We saw stacks of pallets containing thousands of Bearded Iris Homestyle cans in the brewing area. At the time, we assumed Wiseacre was just doing some helpful contract brewing for Bearded Iris. Literally four days after our visit, the news broke that Wiseacre had acquired Bearded Iris Brewing Company!

During the event, we held a raffle with a sealed envelope containg a number between 1 and 100. The person who guessed the number the closest was the winner. Congratulations to Raksha, who won a 6-pack of Dale's Pale Ale and a bottle of Side Project Bière du Pays!
